As a Women’s Anti-Aging Goddess, my mission is to assist in creating a healthier and happier world one woman at a time by introducing you to the simple yet powerful benefits of the raw, plant based food lifestyle.
I am 59 years young and I have been a raw food enthusiast for over 8 years and a belly dance instructor for over 26 years. The more I live and learn about the raw food lifestyle the more excited I get. Why? Because the more I incorporate raw living foods into my life the better, healthier and more alive I feel in my body.
That is why I am so passionate about bringing this message to you.
In my mid to late 40’s I entered into a time in my life where I began to experience pre-menopausal symptoms. That showed up as anxiety, depression, foggy thinking, night sweats and hot flashes, (power surges).
For me anxiety felt really scary and when I felt the rush of panic raise up inside of me every time I approached a traffic light I could also feel my energy physically being sucked out of me.
The depression felt like being stuck in a deep hole that I couldn’t crawl out of even though I knew how much life had to offer me.
Night sweats and hot flashes not only interrupted my sleep but was embarrassing and extremely uncomfortable throughout the day.
Needless to say I felt miserable and when you are experiencing those feelings in your body you are ready to try anything to feel like a “normal” person again.
I tried anti depressants, building my adrenal glands, different supplements and herbal combinations. It all was
After plenty of tears and frustration I went on bio identical hormone replacement therapy which is supposed to be more “body friendly” but it was still a prescription drug.
Now for the highlight of this story.
One of my girlfriends introduced me to a video about raw foods and after watching it something clicked inside of me and it just made sense.
When you incorporate raw foods into your diet, you are placing living foods into your living body. In doing so you are giving your body “the tools” it needs in order to do what it is designed to do naturally and that is to heal and balance
The more living foods I ate the more I noticed my pre menopausal symptoms disappearing. I didn’t have to continue with blood work and adjusting my prescription and finally I was able to wean myself off of the bio identical hormones.
I realize that everyone is different but for me I was able to wean myself off of the drug once I was consuming about 75% raw foods.
I must say I was elated because not only did I feel much better, (I didn’t feel like I was going crazy anymore from the imbalance in my hormones), but I was more than happy to not put a drug into my body and to find balance naturally.
By feeding the cells of my body living foods, which are fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, green smoothies and fresh juices, I was able to give my body the full compliment of vitamins, minerals and enzymes that it needed to
